    The app “Learning to draw is fun” will teach your child to draw easily 24 different pictures like a butterfly, a snowman, a flower, a birthday cake… Each drawing is split into 4 easy steps that your child can easily reproduce below the drawing templates. When the drawing is finished, your child can color it. All the drawings made by your child are saved and can be printed (needs an AirPrint compatible printer).

    VideoMonster

    VideoMonster is the YouTube player especially for children. Your children only see videos they should see – because you’ve selected them. Search and select videos from YouTube in the VideoChooser and store them as playlists for your children. Access to the Video Chooser is protected by a PIN. VideoMonster comes with videos. Choose one of the prepared VideoMonster lists and add it to your selection.  Children can operate the player by themselves. It’s very simple and they don’t need to be able to read. The built-in timer prevents kids from watching too long. Videos can be watched without Internet access because VideoMonster stores them on the device, if you want it to. VideoMonster runs on iPad, iPad mini and iPhone. With iCloud, video lists are always up to date on all devices.

    With a sheet of paper, a grid and a template, children learn to draw 32 drawings on iPad, 16 on the iPhone in the Lite version, more than 120 (60 on iPhone) in the full version. Copying a drawing is not as easy as you think, it takes a lot of concentration and attention of the children.  While copying the templates, children will exercise their observation and their logical skills with the game modes “copy”, “move” and “symmetries”, with 2 levels of difficulty (only one for iPhone) in the Lite version.

    Grid drawing for kids lite is for iphone, ipod touch and ipad available on the app store. The full version costs $ 1,99.

    Logicals are an excellent way to practice reading and listening skills. A logical is a riddle that is solved by logical reasoning. Accurate reading or listening is very important. Today’s freebie includes two logicals with snowmen: the first one is pretty easy, the second one is a little trickier. Ask the children to read the text carefully or to listen carefully, so they can find out who built which snowman when and where. Have fun!
